1520 is our tribute to where that movement began.

The name comes from 1520 Sedgwick Avenue in the Bronx, New York, widely recognised as the birthplace of hip hop. It was there, at a community party in 1973, that DJ Kool Herc helped spark a cultural revolution that would grow far beyond music. Hip hop became an art form, a way of thinking, and a global culture built on creativity, originality and self-expression.

That spirit is at the heart of everything we create.

Our artwork celebrates the artists, albums and moments that have shaped hip hop across generations.
